Find The Needle is Windows only. Steam's minimum spec asks for Windows 10 64-bit, 8 GB RAM, and a dedicated GPU with Vulkan 1.3 and 4 GB VRAM — GTX 1050 Ti or RX 570 class. Integrated graphics are not supported and may crash. Recommended is Windows 11 64-bit, 6+ cores such as Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel i5-12400, 16 GB RAM, and a GTX 1660 Super or RTX 2060 with 6 GB VRAM. Storage is 2 GB either way. Very large factories are CPU heavy. Check this table before you download the free demo.

The crash warning is first-party: integrated graphics are not supported and may crash. An 8 GB laptop with only an iGPU fails minimum even if the OS is Windows 10 64-bit. Vulkan 1.3 is the API floor. GTX 1050 Ti and RX 570 are the named 4 GB examples.
Recommended jumps the CPU from 4 cores / 8 threads to 6+ cores and RAM from 8 GB to 16 GB because very large factories are CPU heavy. That sentence matches the 300-upgrade promise: the yard grows until the processor is the limit, not the 2 GB disk.
macOS and Linux flags are false. There is no Proton promise on the store page. Single-player and Family Sharing are the listed categories. Steam's app page is the spec source; this table restates it.
Write down dedicated GPU and Vulkan 1.3 before you click install. An 8 GB RAM stick does not save an iGPU. The named cards are GTX 1050 Ti and RX 570 at minimum, GTX 1660 Super or RTX 2060 at recommended.
Eleven full-audio store languages
Steam lists English, German, Polish, French, Spanish - Spain, Czech, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Turkish with full audio and interface. Running the demo on this spec
The demo is free, so the only cost of a wrong GPU is a crash and a wasted download. Verify dedicated Vulkan 1.3 first. Then install Find The Needle Demo from Steam, not from a random mirror.
If the yard grows past recommended and the CPU saturates, that is the spec note talking, not a unique bug. Shrink belts, kill the grid with E, or add RAM before assuming the build is broken.

After a crash on integrated graphics, do not reinstall five times. The store already said that configuration may crash. Move to a dedicated GPU or a different machine, then come back to the demo.
