Hay products

Pulp, bales, eco bricks, hay paper, pellets.

Hay products are how the pile pays for the next machine. Steam names hay pulp, compressed bales, eco bricks, hay paper and pellets, then adds and much more without listing the rest. Demo V8 ties two of those names to a machine: the Pellet Disc Machine shows BRICKS and HAY indicators. Sale prices, craft times and extra unnamed products are not on the store, so they are not in this table. Unlock production lines only after the sell-hay belt is already feeding the booth.

The five names Steam prints

Hay pulp is first on the store list. Compressed bales are the sellable brick of a baler or press. Eco bricks share the press language and pick up the BRICKS lamp on the Pellet Disc Machine after V8. Hay paper needs the paper machine on an unlocked line. Pellets sit on that same Pellet Disc Machine under the HAY lamp.

Steam also writes and much more. No extra SKU name sits next to that phrase. Silage, cubes, or joke labels in a video overlay stay off this list. Five named products is the store count.

The 485 / 600 cue in the still is a quantity on a held tool, not a product SKU. It tells you the line is counting something in the pile. It does not publish a recipe.

Keep a sell-hay belt running while you experiment with pulp and bales. Products do not replace the booth; they sit beside it. Coin values per item remain unpublished, so treat each new line as a bet you can still undo by selling loose hay.

Production lines and V8 lamps

Steam's loop is unlock production lines and advanced machinery so the mountain of hay pays for the next machine. That sentence is the entire official production-plan. There is no published unlock tree tying pulp to paper besides the named machines on the automation ledger.

V8's BRICKS and HAY indicators are the only product-facing UI names in patch notes. They belong to the Pellet Disc Machine. Eco bricks and pellets are the matching product rows. No third lamp is named.

Sell hay still funds the shop even after products exist. Compressed bales are called sellable; the other four are named outputs. Coin values per item are unpublished.

Paper machines and pellet discs want power. A pole shutdown with E stops those lines as surely as it stops belts. Rebuild from the booth after a blackout if bricks and pellets were your only income.

Plan from pulp, not from a wiki spreadsheet

A useful factory order, using only store names: keep a belt on Hay Sell Stand, add a baler when you want compressed bales, add a paper machine when you want hay paper, and watch the Pellet Disc lamps if you care about bricks and pellets. Scanners and arms still hunt needles while those lines run.

The tech tree claims over 300 upgrades for new processing. That is a promise of more product tools, not a list of SKUs. When a node ships with a new product name, it can join this table. Until then the five rows are the map.

Bitdot's haystack wiki and Roblox needle wikis price different games. Steam's Hay products list plus the V8 lamps are the rows here.

The 485 / 600 cue in the still is a quantity on a held tool. Use it as proof that the line counts something in the pile, then go back to the five named outputs when you plan chests and storage.

Hay pulp is the first named output because processing starts as mush, not as a brick. Compressed bales are the first thing that looks like cargo. Eco bricks and pellets share the Pellet Disc Machine after V8, which is why those two names matter together. Hay paper waits on a paper machine you unlock later. Keep the booth fed while those four extra lines come online so a dry product machine does not starve the shop.

If a line stalls, sell loose hay at the booth and check power before you blame the product name. Pulp, bales, bricks, paper and pellets only move when belts and poles still work.

Frequently asked questions

How many hay products are in Find The Needle?

Steam names five: hay pulp, compressed bales, eco bricks, hay paper and pellets, plus the phrase and much more. No first-party list fills that remainder. Demo V8 adds BRICKS and HAY indicators on the Pellet Disc Machine, which match eco bricks and pellets.

Which machine makes hay paper?

The store puts hay paper on paper machines and unlocked production lines. There is no published craft time or input ratio. Pair that machine with a belt that already sells hay so the line can pay for itself. Pair it with a live sell belt so a dry paper line does not stall your shop.
